Forest Camp

with Ms Katie

Come spend the day being wild and free at Crosby Farm! This camp is designed especially for kids who don’t always thrive in traditional environments. This will be a camp and a space where kids can: move their bodies, regulate in nature, follow their curiosity, take social breaks when needed, and be met exactly where they are. All while learning some history of the land, engaging in incredible deep play, and receiving some much needed regulation from nature.

The basics

Date: August 11 + 12th

Location: Crosby Regional Farm Park Pavilion at Park Trailheal (2400 Crosby Farm Trail)

Cost: June $100 per child; August $100 per child

Ages: 1st-6th grade

We’ll spend the day outside exploring, building, creating, and connecting- without pressure! This is an excellent camp for kiddos who need space to do deep imaginative play/work and who love to engage in play that needs more space for movement and sound.

Camp will be staffed by Ms. Katie and a teacher/educational assistant and a Red Cross certified teen intern. Two adults, and one teen! (This is more than a classroom in SPPS)

What parents are saying

We love Ms. Katie's camp! I'll be honest — my 9-year-old loves his screen time, and since this is a nature camp, I truly wasn't sure how he was going to do. Well, he got in the car on the very first day and announced, "That was fun — I want to go to this camp again!" He described it as cool, fun, and exciting, which is high praise from a 9-year-old.

His favorite parts were learning how to make a potion (a huge hit!), foraging and swimming, which he absolutely loved. As a bonus for this mom, he came home happily worn out and went to bed without a fuss — always a plus!

If a screen-loving kid can fall in love with this camp, that says it all. We can't recommend Ms. Katie's camp enough and will definitely be back. -Lauren
